Pelicot Case: Will this result in changes in French law?

In order to mark International Women’s Day, we focused on what was obviously the biggest story in France in recent months. This is the trial of the rape of Gisele Pelicot, which became a global feminist icon after giving up the right to remain anonymous. The Avignon Court heard that almost a decade of 72-year-old grandmother was unknowingly drugged by her husband and offered him more than 80 sex foreignmen. But will the extraordinary courage of Gisele Pelicot result in significant changes, especially since there is no definition of consent in the French rape law? Annette Young is joined by Louise-Anne Baudriier from the Foundation for Women and Megan Clement, editor-in-chief of the feminist newsletter based in Paris, Impact. We also look at the need to teach an early age consent.
