Cyclone Alfred: The Australian WPGA Championship in the European Tour was canceled as NRL, AFL, another sport that were delayed or moved | Golf news

The Australian WPGA Championship was canceled this week because of the incoming cyclone, the ladies of the European Tour (Let) and WPGA Tour of Australlasia confirmed.

“With high -rainfall, extreme winds and expected floods, a decision was made to ensure the safety of players, staff, fans and all stakeholders, which is still a priority.”

The next event of the Ladies European Tour should now be an Australian women’s classic from March 13 to March 16, held at the Coffs Harbor Golf Club at New South Wales, on the Ford Women NSW Open next week.
