Karim Benzema teases the return to Real Madrid

Real Madrid legend Karim Benzema hinted at the desire to return the club after overthrowing the curtain in a famous playing career.
Benzema is the second on Madrid’s list of all time goals, in front of the icons of Raul and Alfredo di Stefano, which have been 354 times over 14 years. The fifth is also on the list of all the club’s time, playing 648 games between 2009 and 2023.
In the past, Madrid welcomed former players in various roles outside the field, and the 1980s stars Jorge Valdano and Emilio Butragueno among those who had prominent executive positions. Raul has been in charge of Real Madrid Castilla since 2019, and Alvaro Arbeloa is currently a young coach. Santiago Solari had spells in charge of various sides to the level of the first team, with Zinedine Zidane famously serving as an advisor before two spells as the main coach.
Benzem confessed to ua Mega The interview that he does not know if training is a path he definitely wants to go, just that he wants to “close” President Florentina Perez.
“The other day I was with Florentine in Madrid. When he signed me [in 2009]I told my father that when he was in Real Madrid, I would be there, “the Frenchman explained.
“He was the first person I called when I decided to leave. He didn’t really understand … I told him young, Vinicius and Rodrygo, were ready. When I retired, I want to be close to football. I don’t know, it seems more complex than players. I want to be close to Florentine.”
Benzema, who is now 37, is currently in his second season with Saudi Pro League Giants Al Ittihad.
“I feel good here,” he said. “My life is like in Madrid. I get up, train at home at the gym and train with a team in the afternoon. In the evening I sometimes go out for dinner or on the beach. You can’t walk the street here, people are crazy about football. “
