For over a month in his second term, President Donald Trump has already managed to do well in many of his terrible campaign promises. Ordered a mass deportation of asylum migrants and seekers; Canceled programs of federal diversity, capital, including (dei); Reduce the funding of poor black and Latin communities; And he has committed to expel strangers to the legal residence who participated in the Pro-Palestinian protests.
It is clear that if we survive the next four years, minorities and oppressed people of all stripes must build a solidarity network to stand together and resist. To do this, we have to deal with all extraordinary issues that could undermine solidarity among the community. It cannot be said that they care about women’s rights, public health, racial equality, education or any number of things that liberals claim to worry, and then allow the genocide to continue.
The 2024 elections were held in the shadow of the Israeli genocidal campaign against the Palestine People. Despite the efforts of the Democratic Party to blur and manipulate this issue, they could not simply wish scary images coming out of the Gaza and West Coast.
They faced a mass mobilization of people on the streets, in the original and college campuses, inviting an emergency action to stop Israel. In a desperate attempt to distract from the lawful criticism they received for facilitating the genocide, the Democratic Party aimed at the cross -section coalition that arose to support Gazi.
Democrats were particularly sought to break up with black and fading solidarity. One of the ways they hoped to do it was to frame pro-Palestinian protesters as voters with one edition. They claimed that the Palestinian and Arab communities and their allies were invested only in the Palestinian struggle for freedom and did not take care of the struggle of minority groups here in the United States.
Democrats emphasized that what was happening in Gaza was an external question that only applies to this specific group of voters. The idea was to convince the brunette – as well as women, LGBTQ and other groups in an unfavorable position – that their solidarity with Palestine was meaningless and that their interests lay with the Democratic Party, Joe Biden and Kamal Harris.
When we face a special point of conversation with special Callus, I would usually ask: What is “single number” genocide? It cannot be said that they care about women’s rights, public health, racial equality, education or any number of things that liberals claim to worry, and then allow the genocide to continue.
If one is okay with the extermination of one group, why not willing to approve the extermination of others when the time comes?
We gained insight into how unusual dedication to the Democratic Party and its liberal supporters of the rights in adverse groups may be when they rushed to blame Trans People for Harris defeat, and some prominent members suggested that they give up “trans -exhibition”.
The point of conversation “Voter with one edition” is not the only weapon to disturb the black Palestinian solidarity. Historic mobilization was also attacked at the college and university campuses across the country. Liberal media sought to portray pro-Palestinian activism not only as “anti-Semitic”, but also as pets of the bourgeoisie, something that only rich children at the universities of Ivy League had time to worry.
What the media has decided to omit from this narrative is that mobilization took A place at public universities and state schools, which black and brown students joined strongly. The fact that color students face the burden of police violence and criminal persecution is also appropriately left out of a public interview.
In parallel, the Democratic Party also made some of their color members become the face of their unacceptable attitude about Gaza. UN Ambassador Biden Linda Thomas-Greenfield received instructions to vote on the relevance of a fried fire after a relaxed resolution and repeat the mantra of Israeli “right to self-defense”. The Karine Jean-Pierre White House secretary had to avoid all the questions about Palestinians during the press. Vice -President Harris herself had the task of “recognizing” humanity and the suffering of the Palestinian people, while the Administration of Biden continued to approve the sale of weapons to Israel.
The Democratic Party used black as a shield of any criticism and did so under the guise of diversity. It is not surprising that the cry was discarded whenever a black or brown party members were uttered. In such cases, Democrats did everything that can be demonized and collected. When Congress member Cori Bush faced an unprecedented campaign for mass consumption of AIPA to throw her into the first league, none of the democratic leadership came to her defense.
However, the points of conversation acted and managed to penetrate even otherwise progressive spaces. A good example was an internet conversation between the creator of the content of Tori Gier and Tictoker Maya Abdallah, which took place in August.
Tori was arguing for Harris voting as blacks, singing out her very real fears from the second Trump presidency, while Maya rightly emphasized that the Democratic candidate refused to stop facilitating genocide. The relegation of fierce discussions between the two spread online, and some users of social media renounce their solidarity. This is where the political elite wanted us to be.
While the Democratic Party raced the Black Community, she did not bother to talk to Arab Americans and other pro-Palestinian groups. And even in “courting” blacks, Democrats still managed to be as low as possible, pulling the tired and racist trop “blacks becoming more conservative.”
I believe that this strategy and the relentless framing of the genocide rights and minority rights led us to a fascist dream of a fever that is Trump’s Presidency.
Many Arab Americans – as well as members of other minority groups – voted for Trump. As a black man, I would not try to convince these people to vote for “less evil”, while their families were exterminated in Gaza.
The others in the black community felt different. The small but vocal contingent of blacks on the internet, insisted that we should defy the boycott of Israel, “buy Starbucks” and stop supporting the Palestinian matter. Although it was mostly a phenomenon of social media, the effects in real life exist. When I talk to my community members who may be less informed about what is happening abroad, there are several points of conversation: “Is this not a conflict for thousands of years?” and “Israel defends itself.”
It is true that it is not the first time that the Black Community has been divided over Palestine-Israel. Remember the conflict between the iconic black writer Audra Lord and the colleague of the black feminist June Jordan. In the early 1980s, Jordan openly criticized Israel for attacking Lebanon and for his “genocidal goals in terms of the Palestinian people.” Lorde rejected this attitude. She realized the ways they had now captured and used brunette here and abroad, but could not associate it with the struggle of Palestinians the way Jordan did. This fracture caused the worsening of their relationships.
Although the differences in opinion and today exist within the Black Community, it is ultimately my belief that the contradictions present in the defense of the Democratic Party are becoming unsustainable to manage. Ways to use Democrats to use their platform to manipulate narratives – similar to the Republicans with their base – they lead to a confusion, not greater political participation of blacks.
For those who still accept the points of conversation about the Pro-Palestinian movement, it might be a good idea to ask what the Democratic Party has done to conquer her loyalty.
This is a party that, in response to George Floyd’s police murder in the summer of 2020. She decided to send her lead to make a photoshop in kneeling in kete fabric, but then spent $ 17.4 billion for police financing throughout the country two years later. This is also a party whose members and associated heads of the conversation have made a lot of effort in demonizing the Black Lives Matter movement and theft of all popular momentum from it.
More recently, the Democratic Party has gone out of the way to encourage very unpopular “City Police Officer ‘project in Atlanta. The city, which famously led the wealthy black Democrats, undertook draconian measures to ensure that all resistance – including from members of the Black Community – to this Police Training Campus project.
Let us also remember that even though Trump, every part of the monstrous democrats claim to be, they seem right with him. This is because for years, the Democratic Elite has relied on a multitude of rotating villains to prevent them from fulfilling any of their more progressive promises to their base. Bearing in mind this strategy, in 2015-2016, they have erected Trump in Republican primary carers, believing that he will be the easiest candidate to win.
In this context, the insinuation that the Democratic Party – or the Republican Party, has the best interest of the black population of this country in mind is not only offensive but also dangerous. Both of these parties, black and Palestinian lives are not a little concerned; They are only important when or if it is political and financially purposeful.
Many black Americans, like me, see a parallel between the historical ways our people have been found and what happens in Palestine. The brutal apartment and genocide of the Palestinian people directly relate to mass murders and obeying the blacks here in the US. There is a reason why so many things we say in our community resonate with people of Palestine and vice versa. Our mere existence is a threat to the status quo.
I see that cognition spread among my peers and we all saw it in Super Bowl, when Zul-Qarnain NantambaBlack performer, raised a Sudan and Palestinian flag on stage during halftime.
For the past 16 months of Gazo Gaza, they have brought to the forefront of a close link between the US military-industrial complex and Israeli, between the US army and Israeli occupation forces, between the US police and the Israeli security institution.
Considering that Trump and his group of white nationalist extremists have already released police and other security agencies to vulnerable communities, Mi-Mi-black and brown people, LGBTQ and Pro-Palestinian activists-we are compliant with the same threat, the same source of aggression.
Our power lies in the United Resistance. In order to acquire a fortified order, we must stand together.
