The suicide striker detonated explosives near the government building in the Afghan capital, Kabul, killing one person and wounding three others, and Taliban Government spokesman said.
On Thursday, the attacker tried to enter the Afghan Ministry of Urban Development and the residential building in Kabul, but on Thursday he was shot by security forces, a spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior said on Thursday, Abdul Mateen Qani.
A doctor from the Kabul’s Emergency Room Hospital, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told the AFP news agency that the injured were brought to the institution for treatment after the explosion.
No group took responsibility for the attack.
Security challenges
The attack was targeting the bustling part of the city, which houses the government offices, as well as foreign embassies, including the United States Embassy, which remained empty since the US and NATO -sides of power withdrew from the country of 2021.
