Burnley bring Barnes home
Burnley have re-signed striker Ashley Barnes from Norwich until the end of the season.
The 35-year-old, who previously played for the Clarets between 2014 and 2023, rejoins Scott Parker’s side in second place in the Championship table.
He has already been promoted to the Premier League three times.

“It feels fantastic to be back home,” Barnes told Burnley’s website.
“Burnley have been a big part of my life for over a decade and I can’t wait to pull on the maroon shirt again.”
Barnes has scored 80 Premier League goals for the Lancashire club, with his best season coming in 2018/19 when he scored 12.
His long-term partner at the Clarets, Chris Wood, is experiencing a renaissance at Nottingham Forest this season, scoring 11 goals by Christmas.
Burnley face rivals Blackburn Rovers in an early kick-off on Saturday and could go level on points with leaders Leeds with a win.
“Ashley leaves with our best wishes and we thank him for his contribution over the last 18 months,” said Norwich sporting director Ben Knapper.
