On Saturday, Hamas handed over three Israeli hostage to the Red Cross in Central Gaza Deir Al-Balah, showed live television.
The militant group was published by Ohad Ben Ami, 56, and Eli Sharabi (52), both took hostages from Kibbutz Be’eri during the cross -border attack guided by Hamas on October 7, 2023, or Levy, 34, abduction of that day from the new music festival in southern Israel.
In exchange, Israel began to release 183 Palestinian prisoners, some convicted of involvement in attacks in which a dozen people were killed, including 18 serving of life sentences and 111 detained in Gaza during the war, Hamas said.
A bus transporting Palestine released from Israeli prison Ofer arrived on the occupied West Coast, shot shot.
Dozens of masked and armed fighters of Hamas were deployed to Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza, where the group handed over Israeli hostage to the International Red Cross Committee (ICRC).
The crowds of people gathered at the site, where ICRC vehicles were waiting to collect hostages and transport them to Israeli forces in Gaza, who would then take them to Israel.
For families of hostages who kept in Gaza in Gaza for over a year, waiting was a rolling of fear and hope as the moments of reunion were approached.
“I can’t even start describing emotions, excitement, how lucky we are to be close to being,” said Michael Levy, brother or Levy, who lost his wife in an attack on October 7th and has a three -year -old son.
“We wait to hug him, waiting to see Almog (Levy’s son), hugging his father again.”
Other hostages also face a sharp return. Sharabi’s two teenage daughters and his wife born in Briton were killed in the Hamas attack on Kibbutz Be’eri, where one of 10 inhabitants was killed.
“We count a minute, seconds and we just want him to be here,” said Astrid Dafan-van Dien, Sharabi-Provider, “although it will be very difficult because of Lianne (Sharabbi’s wife) and a girl.”
The exchange is the last in a series of replacements since the truce began on January 19th. So far, 13 Israeli and five Thai hostages have been abducted during the Hamas attack, along with 583 Palestinian prisoners and detainees.
Despite hiccups, the 42-day replacement for interruption and hostages closed in prison broke out with American support and mediation by Egypt, and Qatar came into force almost three weeks ago.
US President Donald Trump suggested that Palestinians be moving to turn Gaza into a ‘Riviera of the Middle East’. Larry Garber, a former US Mission Director of International Development Director for West Bank-Gaza, says Trump’s words “dangerous” because they could interfere with the Phase 3 of the trial agreements, which includes the implementation of the Gaza Renewal Plan.
However, the fears that the contract could be demolished before all the hostages were free since the surprise of US President Donald Trump to move Palestinians from Gaza and to surrender to the United States and developed in “Riviera in the Middle East.”
Arab states and Palestinian groups rejected the proposal, which critics said they would represent ethnic cleansing.
Alaa Al-Hasanat25-year-old soldier with Gaza Qassam Brigade, talked with CBC in Deir al-Bundlesaying that “Hamas is back and stronger than before “and Palestinians will not leave.
“As for Trump and the issue of displacement, we lived 475 days of genocide … but we will stay in Gaza,” he said.
Israel rejected the genocide charges saying that he adheres to international law and has the right to defend himself after Hamas attack.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, however, welcomed Trump’s intervention, and his defense minister ordered the army to make plans to allow Palestinians who wanted to leave Gaza to do so.
According to an agreement on the termination of fire, 33 Israeli children, women and sick, wounded and older men should be released during the initial phase in exchange for nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners and detainees.
The second phase negotiations began this week, which they aimed at bringing back the remaining hostages and arranging the complete withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza in preparation for the final end of the war.
The filled with the guidance of Hamas was attacked by Israel on October 7, 2023, killing about 1,200 people and seizing more than 250 as hostages.
In response, Israel launched an air and ground war in Gaza, killing more than 47,000 Palestinians, according to Gaza health authorities, and devastated most of the narrow enclave.
