Reid is a triple main coach Super Bowla and is the only main coach in the history of NFL who recorded 100 wins with two different teams. He was the main coach of Philadelphia Eagles from 1999 to 2012 and trained chiefs since the 2013 season.
Reid will enter the regular season of 2025 as the second oldest coach in the league, behind only 73-year-old Pete Carroll. Las Vegas Raiders hired Carroll earlier this month.

Considering his age and achievements, some asked questions about when Reid would decide to step down from football. Shortly after the chiefs arrived at New Orleans for a big game, a longtime main coach addressed the speculation about his coaching future.

“Yes, I’ll be back,” Reid said.
Reid’s statement supports the hopes of owner Chief Clark Hunt that the coach is not “remotely” to call him stopping.

“I have no sense that he is close to the distance that he wants to be over,” Hunt told reporters recently. “I think he always said that he would know when the time came, and I am sure he will share with me before sharing with everyone else – at least I hope. I do not feel that he is now close to being.”

But Reid made it clear that his plans for the return of next season were not made in an effort to surpass the former newly england patriots coach Bill Belichick on the training list of all victories.
“That’s not part of it,” Reid said. “I just enjoy teaching. I’m not caught much in statistics or records. I enjoy being in a relationship with guys. I enjoy football, play. You can’t invest in the hours we do, and we don’t enjoy it. I love the game.”
