Someone tells me when the box in a heavyweight category turned to pub on Saturday night with the judges. Brandon Moore Vs. Skylar Lacy was not a fight – it was a pure shame, an act of comedy so funny, even the judge probably wanted to go out.
Let’s start with Moore (17-1), a man who technically won. I say “win,” but let’s be real-on Ragdolli, hugged the bear and pulled out of the ring as if someone was embroidered from a nightclub. The guy looked like he was waiting for a real fight to break out, but no, all he received was a difficult session of a knock with a man who obviously had no idea where he competed in sports.
And then we have Lacy (8-1-2). Oh, Lacy. A man so determined to make this struggle unobtrusive that he has collected three separate violations of posture – which is, honestly, impressive. Three. You have to try to be so bad in boxing. Maybe he thought refresh only gave friendly warnings. Maybe he thought it was the best of five. Either way, he just continued Grappling like a lost MMA fighter.
And just when you thought he couldn’t get worse, he’s going full WWE, raises Moore and drives him through the ropes at the announcement table. I mean, a friend, if you want to fight outside the ring, just go to a parking lot like normal people.
Ref, bless his patience, begins to count. It comes to 15 before he realizes that Moore does not get up because Lacy is still lying on it like a crashed cabinet. So, with zero better capabilities, he does what any healthy man would do – requires lace because he is an absolute muppet.
Moore wins if you want to call him that. Boxing loses. The dignity of the sport packed their bags and left the building, another lacy turned into a human ram.
