“We didn’t win in India” – Nathan Lyon
During an interview with ABC Sport, Nathan Lyon asked if the current Australian team was a great cricket team. Lyon asked further what to do to get this team to that point.
The off-pinner was honest because he mentioned the inability of the team to win a test series in India so far. He believes that the team has some of the biggest players like Steve Smith and Mitchell old man and they are on their way to becoming a great Australian team.
“Well, there are a few things, we didn’t win in India, we kept the last two ash, far away. So there are a few things that are for me, this is just me and my thoughts. But, we, we” got a few great players in that locker room.
“You have Starcy (Mitchell Starc) in my eyes, who came out around the corner. The incredible journey to be a part of it,” he counted.

Nathan Lyon thinks about thinking of the current Australian team
Nathan Lyon also talked about players who are not part of the current team. Australia is without their regular captain Pat Cummins, who did not travel with a team in Sri Lanka while taking paternal leave.
“Not just guys are here, we also have some amazing players at home, whether an injury or maternity (paternity) left or anything that may be. So, it’s a team mentality and that’s the way it should be.” Said Offpinner.
Australia is known to produce some of the greatest players of all time. It is also reflected in the results. They are the winners of the Odra World Cup six times, and they also won the T20 World Cup title.
In the early 2000s, Australia had one of the biggest teams in both format. Almost all their team players were stars and true winners of the matches a day. Some of those great players who were part of the team are Ricky Ponting, Glenn McGrath, Adam Gilchrist, Matthew Hayden and Shane Warne.
