Eddie Hearn says he is eaten by Keyshawn Davis, who has lost four times to Cuban Andy Cruz in amateur competition, and believes he will want to prove that he is a better fighter in professionals.
Davis repeatedly refused to fight Cruz, saying that he was under him and that he had nothing to fight with him. It simply sounds like an old -fashioned, lump sum fear on Keyshaw’s side, does not want to get beating and his career falls apart before he even begins.
Cruz’s threat
Hearn believes that the struggle between a highly ranked candidate in the lightweight category Keyshawn (12-0, 8 ko) and Cruza (4-0, 2 ko) would have a great result because of their rivalry.
He says that if Davis wins the WBO title in the lightweight category of champion Denys Berinchyka next month, February 14th, he may want to correct things with Cruz.
Andy fights Omara Salcida tonight (20-1, 14 ko) in a joint match of 10 rounds at Diego Pacheco against Steven Nelson at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. If Cruz looks vulnerable in this fight, Keyshawn could give it a little courage to finally fight him.
