Manchester City they are ready to confirm the departure of the captain Kyle Walkerand the Blues are not waiting around to find his replacement, as they are ready to submit a £54million bid for the defender, according to a new report.

Given how the 2024/25 season has gone for City, it’s no surprise to see how busy they’ve been so far this transfer window. Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov have already joined and have now been joined by Omar Marmoush, who signed for the Premier League champions on Thursday morning.

The Blues don’t seem to be stopping there after another disappointing night against PSG this week, as they are also closing in on signings Juma Bahwho should be sent out on loan in the second part of this season.

As well as looking at players to sign this month, City are also keeping an eye on the summer transfer window, and according to TEAMtalk, they took pole position by signing Joshua Kimmich from Bayern Munich when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Kyle Walker is now closing in on a loan move to AC Milanand it didn’t take long for City to find his replacement, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Man City are ready to launch a bid for Juventus’ Andrea Cambias.

The report says it’s a matter of “when” not “if” City make a move for Cambias, with the Blues planning to make a worthwhile bid 65 million euroswhich is roughly £54 million, in the next 24 hours.

However, that could be rejected, as Juventus are claimed to be demanding €80 million for the defender. The Old Lady are not actively looking to sell Cambias, but his sale could allow them to enter the market for their own arrivals.

Cambiaso is marked as “versatile” commentator Leonardo Bertozzi in the past, while Football Italia’s Peter Young praised the Italian’s ability to play on either side of the back four. Therefore, his potential arrival at the Etihad makes for an exciting signing and one expected to flourish under Pep Guardiola, given how the Spaniard likes to have players who can play in multiple positions.

However, with Walker’s departure to AC Milan, Cambia’s arrival would surely see him become City’s permanent right-back, especially as Guardiola still has to rely on Matheus Nunes to play in defence, and as proved against PSG- and on Wednesday night, it doesn’t work for the Blues.
