‘RHONY’ star slams Hollywood for refusing to support Israel
President Donald Trump he was sworn in on Monday and immediately began making good on his campaign promises on the final day of a tumultuous inauguration weekend.
“The Real Housewives of New York” star Jill Zarin, a friend of the Trump family who also attended Donald’s first inauguration eight years ago, has high expectations for the next four years of the 47th president’s administration.
Zarin, 61, admitted she was looking forward to a “change” in the Oval Office and praised Trump for his unwavering support for Israel, unlike her peers in Hollywood who she believes have been silent.

“Honestly, it certainly wasn’t a Hollywood scene,” said Zarin’s Fr inauguration festivities around town in Washington, DC “It was definitely a big deal in the house. And that’s fine. I’m sorry Hollywood can’t even get behind the hostages coming home. I just don’t get it. They weren’t wearing a yellow ribbon, but when there were other things in the world, you know, hashtag… Michelle Obama, hashtag, take the girls home.

“I mean, what do you do? Don’t you have any Jewish friends? Do you know any Jewish friends in the world? Really? That you can’t, like, use your voice to help get these innocents… and a baby? I mean, that’s just a blow… And you know I won’t be silent anymore.”
“I’m sorry Hollywood can’t even get behind bringing the hostages home. I just don’t get it.”
Zarin was steadfast in standing up for what she believed in and encouraged others to vocally support causes close to their hearts.
“Sometimes it’s very isolating when you speak up, but people come up to me and say, ‘Thank you for being their voice because everyone else is so afraid.’ But don’t be,” said Zarin. “More than half of the country voted not only for him but also for the House of Representatives and the Senate.
“And like I said, I don’t agree 100% with anybody’s policies. I probably don’t agree with things I thought about five years ago. What I thought was good five years ago, I don’t agree with Jill five years definitely disagree with me 20 years ago.”
Zarin added: “I’ve become a little more conservative as I’ve gotten older. I’m not going to lie because I’ve learned a lot. I’ve seen a lot.”

Her presence at Trump’s inauguration was double. Zarin wanted not only to witness the historic event, but also to show her gratitude for Trump’s support for Israel.

“The visual that will never leave my mind is him surrounding himself with families of hostages draped in yellow ribbons or yellow scarves … It meant so much to me as a Jewish little girl,” she said.
This was not the first time Zarin witnessed Trump’s inauguration. The business mogul made sure he was in town when Trump took the oath of office in 2018.

The weather conditions were a little different with the festivities being moved indoors to accommodate the cold temperatures, but Zarin insisted there was something special in the air.
“I didn’t see anybody upset. All I saw were people all over town, whether they were Republicans or Democrats,” she said. “And I really mean it. Just happy. Everyone was in great spirits, even though it was cold.”
Zarin and boyfriend, Gary Brody, attended Freedom ball at the Waldorf Astoria, Trump’s former hotel, which she claimed had “the best party” of all the inaugural balls.
“By the end of the evening, people were waiting at the bar for literally seven hours until the president came,” Zarin said. “But you know what? They’re not unhappy. It was worth the wait. There were people sleeping in the hallways. Seriously, I don’t know if they were drunk or napping.”

“No one is allowed to communicate with anyone,” Zarin insisted. “Honestly, you have full district security. I’ve been to Mar-a-Lago, and I see the security they have, and it’s very tight. … But you can definitely see the president. But you can’t get close to him.”
She added, “He’s completely surrounded. Let’s put it this way. If he sees you and wants to talk to you, he’ll grab you. Don’t worry about it. Other than that, just leave me alone.”

After an inspirational weekend, one message he hopes to take into the new year is to practice what he preaches.
“Just be kind. Be kind,” Zarin said. “If you disagree with someone, by all means share your opinion, because I think everyone can learn from everyone. I agree. But do it in a respectful way.”
