Leicester first inquired about signing the 6ft 4 “warrior” after Coulibaly

As they look to make their way to Premier League safety, Leicester City were reportedly the first to inquire about signing a contract with the tall central defender for Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Leicester transfer news

The Foxes have already dipped into the transfer market once this month to welcome Woyo Coulibaly from Serie A Parma and will be hoping the right-back plays a key role in keeping Van Nistelrooy’s side afloat in the Premier League. However, after losing their last seven Premier League games, those at The King Power are still in desperate need of reinforcements.

The newcomer was quick to express his delight at completing the move, telling Leicester Official Site: “It’s an honor to be here. I feel very good, I am very welcome and the training ground is very impressive. There were many impressive players in the club. It will be a challenge in the Premier League, but one I’m really looking forward to.”

Leicester want to sign LaLiga rock who could save Van Nistelrooy’s job

Ruud Van Nistelrooy needs to get his Leicester City ship back on track with some positive new additions.

Meanwhile, the Foxes have reportedly already turned their attention to another defender, due to the need for those aforementioned additions. According to Gazzetta, via Leicester City News, Leicester have now inquired about signing Strahinja Pavlović from AC Milan this month.

The 6ft 4 defender has struggled since his £15m move from RB Salzburg last summer and could now get the chance to turn things around thanks to Leicester this month.

Van Nistelrooy could certainly do with another defensive addition, especially with such a physical presence and high level of experience, but it remains to be seen whether Leicester’s inquiry will quickly turn into an official bid for his signature this month.

“Warrior” Pavlović needs an exit from Milan

While Leicester are yet to find out how much Milan are asking for their defender this month, there is no doubt that he could at least go out on loan and rediscover his best form, and the Foxes should take full advantage of that. Having started just seven times in Serie A this season, the 23-year-old should see Leicester as his chance to steal the headlines and help Van Nistelrooy’s side shock survival.

At his best, Pavlovic is a defender who has been the center of praise for such Jacek Kulig. Just last summer, a football talent scout dubbed the 6-foot-4 ace the “Serbian Warrior” after an excellent performance against England.

If Leicester can now go ahead and secure Pavlovic’s signature, the task will be to get him back to that level and reap the rewards as a result this season.
