EVTV) announces expanded service center capabilities in New Jersey via Investing.com

OSCEOLA, AR / ACCESS Newswire / January 22, 2025 / Envirotech vehicles Inch. (NASDAQ: ), today announces a significant upgrade to its electric vehicle service center in Manalapan, New Jersey, positioning the company for accelerated growth and success in the Garden State’s rapidly growing zero-emission vehicle market.

In anticipation of additional Envirotech vehicles to be delivered to customers under the New Jersey Zero-Emission Inventive Program (“NJ ZIP”), the company has expanded the capabilities of its New Jersey service center by adding battery balancing and servicing equipment and capabilities. This will allow Envirotech’s customers to repair vehicles and get them back into service faster.

“Envirotech is unwavering in our commitment to expanding the capabilities of our service centers in New Jersey, ensuring continued support for both our current and future customers,” he said. Jason Maddox, President of Envirotech Vehicles. “As the adoption of electric commercial vehicle technology accelerates in New Jersey, our investment reflects our belief in the tremendous growth potential of this market. We recognize and commend New Jersey companies for their leadership as early adopters of zero-emission technology, and we are proud to stand with them by enhancing our service infrastructure to support their transformative missions.”

With the newly added battery service and balancing capabilities, the Envirotech Electric Vehicle Service Center offers multi-point vehicle inspections and repairs, including tires and brakes.

Envirotech’s Jason Maddox added, “Envirotech’s enhanced vehicle service center capabilities position Envirotech to support a new line of electric delivery vans and trucks that the company intends to introduce to the New Jersey market in 2025. We intend to make these vehicles available to the New Jersey company as part of the NJ ZIP program.” “

The NJ ZIP pilot is a $90 million voucher initiated by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (“NJEDA”) for zero-emission medium and heavy-duty vehicles. This pilot funds Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (“RGGI”) revenue allocated to NJEDA to reduce harmful emissions, particularly in communities disproportionately affected by transportation emissions, and create economic opportunity within the state. The program will provide vouchers with base values ranging from $20,000 to $175,000.

The goal of the program is to accelerate the adoption and use of zero-emission medium and heavy-duty vehicles within New Jersey; reduce emissions within the country; and continue to allow NJEDI to determine and drive market readiness, assess the effectiveness of funding levels and program design, and test methodologies to measure the economic impact of such adoption. The pilot is being used as a vehicle to support the growth of the zero-emission vehicle ecosystem in NJ, with accelerated adoption of zero-emission vehicles being the first step in attracting new jobs and investment as other zero-emission vehicle programs and regulations are developed across more government agencies.
