In the second over, Caleb Jewell tried to use a delivery that was a bit fuller into the slot outside off but failed to time his shot properly. The ball barely passed the center circle, providing a challenging opportunity for the fielder. Stoinis, showing incredible athleticism and awareness, raced back from the middle, never taking his eyes off the ball.
As the ball started to sink, he dived in full and completed a phenomenal catch, securing Jewell’s dismissal for 5 runs off 5 balls. The moment underlined Stoinis’ value as Stars captain, inspiring his side to a brilliant early effort. Melbourne Stars close to victory against Hobart Hurricanes
After the Stars posted a strong total of 219/5 in their 20 overs, they led Glenn MaxwellAn explosive 76 off 32 balls, the Hurricanes struggled early, losing quick wickets.
