Tripadvisor, the world’s largest tour guide platform, has announced its Travellers’ Choice Awards for the best destinations to visit in 2025.
“Travellers’ Choice Top Destinations recognize locations that have experienced the most significant year-over-year growth in the quality and quantity of ratings and reviews for accommodation, restaurants and activities, as well as the highest number of page views globally on Tripadvisor during the 12-month period beginning October 1, 2023.” until September 30, 2024,” Hilary Fischer-Groban, senior director of global brand, insights and PR, told Fox News Digital.

In fact, NYC has been Tripadvisor’s top U.S. destination for the Travelers’ Choice Awards for three years in a row as “Best of the Best Destinations,” followed by Oahu in second and Las Vegas in third, both of which also held steady.

“There was a significant shift in the rankings, with the Florida Keys moving up to fourth place — from Key West’s tenth place in 2024 — pushing New Orleans to fifth place,” Fischer-Groban said.
“Nashville and Charleston continued to dominate the list, while Miami and Maui dropped out of the Top 10, surpassed by San Francisco and Washington, DC.”

1. New York City
Per Fischer-Groban, a key driver of New York’s success was positive feedback for its iconic attractions — from the Empire State Building to the Metropolitan Museum of Art — which saw a nearly 10% increase in reviews from 2023 to 2024.

2. Oahu, Hawaii
Meanwhile for runner-up Oahu, Fischer-Groban reports that Tripadvisor has seen the destination become increasingly popular with business travelers, and from 2023 to 2024, Oahu saw a 27% increase in business traveler reviews.

3. Las Vegas
Rounding out the top three, “Las Vegas saw an increase in the number of family travelers, with the largest performance improvements in both families and couples,” she adds, noting that reviews from family travelers in Las Vegas increased 43% from 2023 to 2024.

If you’ve decided to visit any of the top three, Fischer-Groban shares some of the top attractions as follows: “Must-see places in New York City in 2024 included Central Park, the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art,” she said.
“Oahu featured the Diamond Head State Monument, Pearl Harbor National Monument, and Iolani Palace. Las Vegas’ main attractions were the iconic Bellagio fountains, while the top-rated restaurants were Fresco Italiano and Ferraro’s Restaurante.”
