Disciplined bowling by the Super Kings restricted the Super Giants
Super Kings got off to a solid start with the bat after winning the toss and opting to bat first. A decent partnership between the openers Devon Conway and Leus du Plooy place them in a comfortable position. However, the continuous falling of goalposts bothered the guests. The Super Giants bowling unit managed to restrict the incoming run flow but could not stop the Super Kings from reaching a respectable total of 169 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.
In response, the home side failed to put together a decent partnership. The entire Super Giants batting line-up failed to make a mark except for De Kock and Heinrich Klassen who scored 55 and 29 runs respectively. In the end, Super Giants were bowled out for 141 with 12 balls remaining and JSK won the match by 28 runs.
It was the bowling combination of the Super Kings. While Gerald Coetzee, Tabraiz Shamsiand Donovan Ferreira took 2 doors each, David WeiseTahir i Mathees Pathiran had 1 wicket to their name.
