Man Utd are seriously considering a ‘superstar’ deal after offering to sign him for £0
Manchester United are considering signing the “superstar” player after being offered his services as a free agent, according to a recent report.
Man Utd transfer news
There are more than two weeks left until the transfer window, and it remains to be seen whether they will Reuben Amorim he will be able to make his first signing as United head coach this month. Given recent spending, the Red Devils are very close to breaking PSR, so that means departures are likely to have to happen before they can consider bringing in new players.

That hasn’t stopped speculation surrounding Old Trafford, as the Premier League side continue to be linked with several new faces. Over the weekend it was announced that INEOS is ready for talks with Goncal Inacio’s agent hoping to bring the Portuguese defender to Manchester. This is not the first time the Red Devils have been linked with a move, as he was mentioned back in November, and the fact that he has a £50m release clause could mean that the deal is easier to close.
Meanwhile, it was also recently announced that United want to sign Yeremay Hernanadez from Deportivo La Coruna. The winger has a £17m buyout clause and United have been impressed by his performances in Spain. He could be seen as a replacement for Marcus Rashford, who looks set to leave at some point this month.
Man Utd are seriously considering signing the 24-year-old free agent
Hernandez may not be the only striker United are looking to sign, as according to TuttoJuve, Manchester United are seriously considering signing Jonathan David from Lille, who will be available for free when his contract expires this summer.
24-year-old, who was called “superstar” of his international teammate Jonathan Osari, has been in Lille since August 2020, but his time at the club is slowly coming to an end. David is in the final six months of his contract with the Ligue 1 side and unfortunately for Lille, he is expected to leave at the end of the campaign at the latest.
A few days ago it was announced that United should have been offered the chance to sign David when his contract expires, and this report states that the Red Devils see it as a “golden opportunity” and are therefore seriously considering a move for the striker.

However, the likes of Newcastle United, Liverpool, West Ham and Juventus have also been linked with the striker, so it is not a sure sign for Amorim’s United. With David being a free agent this summer, that means he could be available cheaply this month, so it could work both ways for United, as they don’t want to spend huge amounts of money.
