“Even when he’s not free, he screams your name so you have to approach him”


Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai spoke openly about Mohamed Salah’s behavior on the pitch. The Hungarian revealed that the Egyptian always looks for the ball, even in tight areas, and hailed his performance on and off the pitch.

Liverpool put in another great performance to beat Tottenham Hotspur 6-3 in the Premier League at the weekend (December 22). Mohamed Salah stole the show with a mesmerizing display, scoring two goals and providing as many assists.

After the game, a question was asked about Dominik Szoboszlai Mohamed Salah and the midfielder made an interesting discovery about the Egyptian’s behavior on the field.

“You have to know, Mo is always screaming your name, and even [when] he’s not free, he’s screaming your name, so you have to [pass to him]!” said Stadium Astro.

It goes without saying that Mohamed Salah remains the main man in this Liverpool team. The Egyptian has arguably been the best player in the Premier League since the start of the 2024-25 season, leaving fans in awe with his consistent performances.

So far, the Egyptian striker has made 24 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, scoring 18 goals and 15 assists for a staggering 33 goals in total. He made history with his 15 goals and 11 assists Premier Leaguebecoming the first player to score 10 or more goals and assist for each before Christmas.

Meanwhile, Dominik Szoboszlai has also had a promising spell in the Reds midfield this season. The Hungarian made 23 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing four assists.

Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool remains a subject of speculation

Mohamed Salah’s contract situation in Liverpool is not a secret. The Egyptian appears to be closing in on an exit route from Anfield. His current contract with the Reds expires in July, meaning he could start negotiating with suitors after the turn of the year.

As it stands, there are no concrete developments to suggest the striker will sign a new deal at Anfield. Instead, reports continue to link him with a move away from the club, with a move to Saudi Arabia highly touted.

According to GOAL, Al Ittihad have shown an interest in signing the striker in a deal that could be as high as £215m. However, contrary to that report, ESPN claimed that Salah could be open to signing a new deal at the club. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the player.
