The ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 will be an exciting showcase of young cricketing talent, taking place in Malaysia from 18 January to 2 February 2025. This tournament marks a significant milestone as it will be the first major cricket event in Malaysia since hosting the tournament ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2008. Sixteen teams from around the world will compete in 41 matches across four venues, providing a platform for rising stars to shine on the international stage.

The competitive landscape for New Zealand

Each team will play against every other team in their group, with the top three teams from each group advancing to the Super Six League stage. This format ensures that every game counts, as teams carry over points earned during the group stage into the Super Six stage. The top two teams from each Super Six group will then progress to the semi-finals, culminating in the grand final on February 2 at the Bayuemas Oval in Pandamaran.

New Zealand are in Group C together South Africa, Nigeriaand Samoa. Their matches are scheduled to take place at the Borneo Cricket Ground in Sarawak, where they will look to secure a place in the Super Six stage.
