Rose Bowl Half Marathon and 5K postponed due to wildfires
The Rose Bowl Half Marathon and 5K planned for January 19 has been postponed due to the wildfires in Southern California.
That’s it the fourth sports event in the area that will be moved due to the fire. The Kings and Lakers games have been postponed, and Monday night’s playoff game between the Vikings and the Rams has been moved to Arizona.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the ongoing wildfires in and around the city of Pasadena and the greater Los Angeles area. … The well-being of our participants, volunteers and community is at the heart of every decision we make,” the McCourt Foundationwhich is the sponsor of the race, says the press release.

The race has been held since 2019. Runners race in the Pasadena area near the iconic stadium before finishing the run on the field.
The fires burned approximately 30,000 hectares, destroyed over 10,000 buildings and claimed at least 10 lives.
