The midnight lion rates an obvious danger having scored well at this track in his last two starts but this looks a tougher task against his 5lb plus mark.

Others of note include Lerwick who disappointed the favorite here last month but is still fit to return to the Ed Bethell team.

Trained by Kevin Philippart de Foy Manara has improved since taking on handicap company, impressively winning both starts. He can continue to improve and rates the one to beat despite the 11lb weight gain.

Dylan Cunha Patrol built on a couple of efforts to get off the mark at Southwell last start but will need to step up again as he moves up in class. Fernando and Tiempo Allegra deserves respect in that Gamble responsibly at BetMGM Handicap.

The best of the rest

Evan Williams’ Juby Ball looks like a runner’s choice for DragonBet supports the British Racing Maiden Hurdle in Ffos Las (12.12), but will have to get better from the promising one Dunskay which goes for the on-song Jones and Pauling team.
