CSX Announces Ratification of Employment Agreement with BMWED Investing.com

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Jan. 10, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — CSX Corporation (NASDAQ: NASDAQ: ) today announced that employees represented by The Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employes Division of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (BMWED) have voted to ratify a five-year collective contract.

The ratification by BMWED marks an important step forward in our ongoing engagement with union leadership, said Joe Hinrichs, CSX President and CEO. CSX remains committed to fostering a work environment where every employee feels valued, respected, included and valued. To date, CSX has ratified agreements with 10 labor unions, covering 13 different work groups, representing 42 percent of the unionized workforce. The terms of the agreement are aligned, providing equivalent packages of improved wages, health care and paid time off benefits.

CSX remains committed to working with other unions and trades to reach similar agreements and will continue to work with employees to achieve meaningful improvements in their work environment.
