This victory intensified the dominance of Mumbai, marking their second WPL title and 11th place in Global Franchise Crickket, further consolidating their reputation of the power plant. Despite their consistent performances, Delhi has fallen once again in the final, extending their waiting for silver accessories.
Harmanpreet Kaur Sidre Mumbai Indians to 149/7
By winning in throwing, Delhi first opted for a bowl, immediately placing Mumbai under pressure by reducing them to 14/2. However, the skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (66 off 44) and Nat Sciver-Brunt (30 off 28) has led an extraordinary recovery, connecting together an 87-parting partnership. Their assembled approach helped Mumbai renew, despite Delhi’s disciplined bowling attack. Just as Mumbai aimed at a strong ending, Jess Jonassen and Shikha Pandey Hit the key blows in death. The late Wikets prevented Mumbai from being fully accelerated, but still managed to publish a competitive 149/7 in 20 additions.
Delhi Capitals Chase Poses despite the heroism of Marizanne Kapp
Delhi’s chase began a shaken note because they lost both openers early, passing at 22/2 within three additions. Jemimah Rodrigues (30 off 21) and Marisanne Kapp (40 off 26) tried a return blow, adding valuable driving under pressure. Their efforts kept Delhi in the quarrel, but their release at key moments moved the momentum back to Mumbai. Niki piglet (25 off 23) tried to direct the chase in the last turn, but Mumbai’s disciplined bowling limited the boundaries. Since the Wickkets are regularly dropped and the required racing speed, Delhi ended at 141/9 and again killed eight runs.
