Here’s what you need to know about Coreweave before your IPO.

Therefore, if Microsoft increases its game and Maia matures at the Google TPU level or Amazon AI chips, Microsoft may have less use for Coreweave infrastructure.
Don’t go wrong, Nvidia GPUs are still sought after today and will probably be in the future. However, since the alphabet and Google can complement a certain working load with their own chips, Microsoft’s scaling of their own chips can release a lot of dollars to buy Nvidia chips directly for their own data centers.
Remember, cloud companies can buy adapted asic at the foundry prices, but Nvidia has a gross margin of 70%. This means that it is basically three to five times more expensive to buy Nvidia GPU than to design your own chip and buy it directly from the foundry.
In addition, thanks to the investment of Nvidia, part of the Coreweave appeal is probably an early approach to the most advanced Nvidia chips. Therefore, Coreweave’s fate seems very firmly tied to Nvidia going forward.
Of course, it’s a great place for the current one. But if AI is built slowly or something happens with a competitive position of Nvidia, it would also significantly affect Coreweave.
In the unstable market, Coreweave is likely to prove unstable and controversial supplies when it becomes public. The tolerates are showing valid reasons for investors to enter IPO, but also a few big risks that this investor is likely to retain aside, at least after the IPO discovery.
