Former Pakistan coach Mohsin Khan was startled by the cricket world with his confusing statement about Virat Kohli while defending under the lower fire Babar Azam. Meanwhile, former Pakistan Intikhab coach Alam expressed concern about the role of Babar Azama at the top of the order, criticizing the decision to push him into the opener for the opener, especially in the 2025 ICC champion trophy. He believes Babar is the most appropriate for number 3, where he could anchor Innings.

Intikhab Alam asks why, on Earth, you will send Babar Azam at no. 1?
Alam also questioned why Babar agreed to a change that hurt Pakistan’s chances in the tournament. Intikhab Alava quoted Sportstar: “Why will you send it to Earth to number 1? He is not an opener. No. 3 is the backbone of the impact line, and your best bet should come in that position, and the coaches should have told him to stay there all the time and get a century.”
Alam signed himself, saying, “If he had got you a hundred and someone else entered the 50 or 60s, you would have almost 300 running on the board and you should play so. Even Babar should refuse to change his position. I don’t know who assured him to open the reinforcement. It was a bad decision.”
