The Vatican posted the first photo of the Pope on Sunday in more than a month, showing Francis Co-Clalebring Mass in the hospital chapel.
The photograph was taken from behind and shows Pope Francis wearing a purple stolen who was sitting in a wheelchair in front of the altar.
Francis has not been publicly seen since he was admitted to the hospital on February 14 after the bronchitis, which made him a speech. The doctors soon added a diagnosis of double pneumonia and polymycrobial infections (bacterial, viral and fungal).
The first three weeks of his hospitalization marked a roll of failure, including respiratory crises, a slight kidney failure and a strong cough.
The doctors said this week that PontiF is no longer in a critical, life -threatening state, but they continued to emphasize that his condition remained complex due to his age, lack of mobility and loss of a part of the lungs as a young man.
Still, they betray less medical bulletin because the pontif was on a upward trajectory. Randgen confirmed this week that the infection was cleaned.
Doctors in the latest medical update on Saturday said they work to reduce the pope’s nightly recess on a non -invasive ventilation mask, which will allow his lungs to work more.
Doctors have undergone that, although the pope’s condition is stable, hospitalization is still needed to treat treatment, along with physical and respiratory therapy, which “shows further gradual improvements,” Vatican said on Saturday in the first medical update in three days.
The next update will not be released by mid -week, the Vatican said.
