UN Internal Memo indicates concern for a possible consumption reduction

Interior United Nations Memo obtained by Fox News Digital shows that the organization is trying to prepare for US reduction of funds as Government Efficiency Department (Doge) It works to remove waste.
Memo was sent to the heads of different departments and offices with the line “Management of the Regular Liquidity crisis of the budget 2025”. According to MEMO, UN Secretary General António Guterres issued a directive to manage the “conservative” and suspension of employment. It also contained a warning of the department heads, telling them that they were preparing to work with 80% of their budget allocated.
“We are aware that 80% of the ceiling could represent significant challenges to many entities to fulfill some of their non-discretional costs for the costs they have not been set. However, we are limited by the lack of total liquidity,” the letter reports.

Secretary General Guterres“Spokesman Stéphane Dujarric confirmed Fox News Digital that this memo had been sent and said that” not “unusual.”
Despite the UN record that states that the reduction to 80% of allocated funds potentially harm the subjects, the insiders say to the former deputy replacement of a special presidential delegate with hostage Hugh Dugan so that it does not see any “real cuts” in it. The insiders were reportedly surprised by the freezing of the staff, although they suspect that there would be a concrete hiring break.
In addition to the memorandum, Secretary General Guterres sent an invitation to all the secretariat staff to participate in the virtual city councilwoman later this month. The invitation did not list the official theme of the City Hall, but Dujarric has confirmed Fox News Digital that “the Secretary-General will solve the UN financial situation”

Dugan told Fox News Digital that the lack of the topic of the City Hall and a late date of the event shows that “the urgency is not at all enough”.
Although the UN managed to reach its assumption that he could find ways to deliver, he may have exhausted those methods, according to Dugan. In addition, Dugan said that the assumption of the UN could use its power on the world stage as an impact in negotiations with the United States has shown that it has been “stupid” in recent years.
The UN can very well have reason to worry after addressing President Donald Trump to a joint session of the Congress, which has listed numerous examples of “terrible waste” that Doga identified. However, the possibility of other countries that provide great funding for international body rethinking could also cause further concern.
However, Dujarric denied that the memorandum was “a direct result of a political situation in the US” and that the UN “faced a crisis of liquidity for decades” because “not all Member States are paying in full” or “on time”.

Memo comes about a month after the Secretary General Guterres sent a letter to the staff who assured them that the UN was working to alleviate the impact of possible budget reductions. He also doubled the importance of an international body and seemed to include a message to strengthen morality.
“Now, more than ever, the work of the United Nations is crucial. As we face this difficult challenge, your dedication and support will help us overcome and move forward,” Guterres read in February.
