The leader of the asset in the UK, Abrdn re -redeveloped as Aberdeen after being widespread for the removal of most vowels under the previous executive director Steven Bird.

Jason Windsor, who became Executive Director Abrdn last year, said on Tuesday that the FTSE 250 property manager would transfer his name, which he described as a “pragmatic decision that marked a new organization phase, because we focus on delivery for our customers, people and shareholders.”

Bird, who left his role last May, decided to rename the company in Abrdn 2021. The group was previously called the Life Aberdeen standard after the merger of two property managers in 2017.

Rebrand by Bird was broadly mocking, and the decision on Tuesday comes only a few weeks after Windsor said the group would continue with the namedespite a lot of ridicule.

Abrdn said the move on Tuesday would end “distractions”.

The announcement arrived because the group returned to profit last year, reporting a profit before taxing of £ 251m for 2024, compared to a loss of £ 6 million for the previous year, as customers have made less money from their funds and improve their investment.
