Trump also added that officials would publish more information on the return of the astronaut in the coming days.
“Safety always comes in the first place, and the maximum standards are adhered to. But after eight long months for a mission that took eight days, it’s time,” he concluded. “I look forward to seeing Butch and Suni, and once again thank you and Janet Petro!”
Williams and Wilmore have stranded at the International Space Station (ISS) since June last year. Originally planning to be in space for just a week, they patiently waited to return to Earth after the problems forced NASA to bring Boeing Starliner Back empty last summer.
