TGL GOLF: Golf Club Tommy Fleetwood Los Angeles knocked out in Shock semi -final upset by a New York golf club | Golf news

Golf Club Tommy Fleetwood in Los Angeles suffered a shock 6-4 semi-final loss from the New York Golf Club of Xander Schauffele at TGL after the Englishman suffered a brutal lip at five feet.
The New York GC will now face the winner of the second semifinal between the Bay Golf and Atlanta Golf Club Golf Club to determine who will be the inaugural TGL champions.
Los Angeles GC did not lose the match in the regular season and entered the Play-offs in the first place, but it was a completely different story for the New York GC, which bounced from two defeats in the early season to reach this point.
After seven even a hole to go semi -finals, Xander Schauffele won the eighth with a four -meter bird. He also came to Trump in the fifth tenth and quarterly 13. Against Collin Morikawa, and his teammate Rickie Fowler beat Tommy Fleetwood at Par-Citii 11.
In the holes of the singles that Schauffele beat, he “threw a hammer” of the middle hole, which brings the opportunity to double the value of the hole point. Lagc refused the hammer in both times and lost the point as a result.
The victory then arrived for the team that made Schauffele, Rickie Fowler and Cameron Young in the 14th hole after Fowler Fleetwood gave the opportunity when he missed a nine -foot bird.
However, it was not like Fleetwood’s birds of five feet, which would win a hole, cruelly broke out and saw himself, Morikawa and Sahith Theegal from the competition.
It is exceptional that it indicates the only loss of Los Angeles GC’s regulatory game, and their only loss of a regular season has arrived in extension.
“I think you’re watching how we started, you know, it was a bad start,” Schaufffele said. “I watched from home (due to injury).
“The boys started gathering. (English Matt Fitzgerald) was with us today … I think we’re all pretty happy.
“We thought it was possible, but we knew it would be a long way. We’re definitely happy to be here.”
Fleetwood admitted that he fought to read Putta before his lip, admitting that the New York GC were valuable finalists.
“I was fortunate that these guys really read Puts. I really struggled to read Puttts and execute the paths on those greenery,” Fleetwood said.
“I felt like I was hit by a good path. I just watched him on TV. It looked like a lot had broken. What else can you do?
“We took our time. We had the three of us reading the Putta, chose Linehad to reject a few of these hammers and we were already down, I felt like we had done it really well.
“At the end of the day, you look, they got better, played better and crowded and happily those guys in the finals.”
