Stephen Edwards: Shakur Stevenson must use a ‘risk without risk’, a ‘non -violent’ strategy to defeat Gervont Davis, but will judges reward him?

Coach Stephen Edwards says that if Shakur Stevenson gets a fight for which he advocated against Gervont Davis, he will need to do so “without a risk” to avoid being crushed.

Edwards suspects that Shakur amateur amateur referees, an amateur style, enough to give them enough to win him in the Davis Tank Davis in the lightweight category of WBA (30-0-1, 28 KO).

Stephen believes that judges and fans in this era do not value the style of the fight that WBC champion in the lightweight category Stevenson (23-0, 11 ko) benefits. His only victory avenue is by a decision. Shakur doesn’t hit hard enough to try to break out Gervont.
