Reem Mahmoud, a displaced woman in Gaza, shares her struggles during the war through a letter in a bottle where she talks about the beautiful life she once had. She hopes her message will encourage people to appreciate their lives and nurture peace. The selfies are part of the Ground Zero, a collection of 22 short films made in Gaza, launched by Palestinian director Rashid Masharawi, to tell the untold stories of the current war. From Ground Zero, there was an official application of Palestine, in the best category of international feature film 97. Academy Award 2025.
