Elon Musk set to speak at Trump’s pre-inauguration rally: report


Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is scheduled to speak at President-elect Donald Trump’s pre-inaugural rally on Sunday, according to a new report.

Musk, who is ready to lead the newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) after Trump takes office, he will deliver remarks during Trump’s “Make America Great Again Victory Rally” at Capitol One Arena in Washington, DC, NBC News reports.

Other speakers on the event agenda include Vice President-elect JD Vance, conservative media personality Megyn Kelly, as well as members of Trump’s immediate family.

Trump’s transition team did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Musk, who donated millions of dollars to Trump’s presidential campaign, became close with Trump and spoke at official events with the future president. For example, Musk delivered remarks at a Trump campaign rally in October at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Musk is also expected to influence the next administration and lead efforts with tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy to reduce government spending under DOGE.

DOGE, which is not an agency of the federal government, aims to eliminate government spendingwaste and streamlining efficiency and operations.

It seeks to cut $2 trillion from the federal government’s budget through efforts to cut spending, government programs and the federal workforce.

However, Musk recently said that eliminating $2 trillion from the federal budget may be too ambitious and that a $1 trillion cut is more realistic.

“I think we’re going to try $2 trillion. I think that’s the best possible outcome,” Musk said during this month’s CES technology show in Las Vegas. “But I think you have to have some kind of surplus. I think if we try $2 trillion, we have a good chance of getting $1 [trillion].”
