SDF under the guidance of Kurda agrees to integrate with government forces

The Kurdish Federation, guided by the militia controlling northeast Syria, has agreed an agreement on integrating all military and civilian institutions into the Syrian state, says the country’s Presidency.

The agreement says that the Syrian democratic forces (SDF) supported by the US will cease and surrender control of the border columns of the region, airports and vital oil and gas fields.

The Kurdish minority also recognizes as a “integral part of the Syrian state” and guarantees “the rights of all Syrians to the representation and participation in the political process”.

SDF commander Mazlouum Abdi called an agreement he signed together with the temporary President Ahmed al-Shara, “the right to build new Syria.”

“We are advocating for the construction of a better future that guarantees the rights of all Syrians and fulfills their aspirations for peace and dignity,” he wrote on Monday night.

The agreement is a big step towards the goal of Sharaa to unite a broken country after his Sunni Islamist group led an offensive of the rebel, overturned by President Bashar Al-Assad in December in December.

The size of this challenge is clearly set up by recent violence in Western Syria, where attacks on security forces by Assad Loyalists launched repression in which more than 1,000 civilians were allegedly killed, most of them are members of the Alawita minority sect.

The agreement could also decan SDF’s conflict with neighboring Turkish and Turkish Syrian former rebel fractions related to the Government, trying to throw out an alliance from the area near the border.

The SDF, which has tens of thousands of well-armed and well-trained fighters, was not aligned with the Assad regime or opposition during the 13-year civil war in the country.

She currently controls more than 46,000 square kilometers of northeast territory, where she defeated the Islamic State group (IS) in 2019 with the help of the US leading.

The SDF plays a major role in the autonomous administration of northern and eastern Syria (Aanes), which manages regions known to the Kurds as swam.

About 10,000 fighters were detained in prisons directed at the SDF, and about 46,000 other people related, mostly women and children, are held in several campsites.

From the fall of Assad, the SDF warned that the attacks of faction supported by Turkish forces him to divert fighters from storage of constipation and inserting the road to a re -hill.

The Turkish government observes the largest milit in the SDF, Kurdish people for the protection of people (YPG), as a terrorist organization. He says YPG is an extension of the Burdistan (PKK) work party for the banned working parties of Kurdistan, which has been a rebellion in Turkey for decades, but whose closed leader has recently declared a dedication fire.

There was no direct comment from Turkey in response to the agreement on Monday.

Between 25 and 35 million Kurds settle the mountain region, which pierced the borders of Turkey, Iraq, Syria, Iran and Armenia. They make up the fourth largest ethnic group in the Middle East, but never got a permanent state.

Syrian Kurds, which make up about 10% of the population, have been suppressed and denied basic rights during the reign of the Assad family.
