Schumer, Democrats of Senata say they will refuse the proposal of the Law on the Save GOP

Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer, Dn.y., he said on Wednesday that his party would oppose the Proposal of the Consumption Act that Republicans compiled and passed through the house, since the deadline at midnight on Friday that Congress took measures to avoid exclusion of the Government.
“Government financing should be a two -sided effort. But Republicans chose a partisan path, making their continuous resolution without any contribution from Congress Democrats,“Schumer wrote on X, echoing the comments he gave on the Senate floor.
“Because of this, the Republicans do not have votes in Senate who will pass home CR,” he wrote. “Our MP is united in a pure 30-day CR who will keep the Government open and give the congress of time to negotiate a two-party legislation that can pass. We should vote about it.”
Schumer called for a one -month consumption account for the government to be open until April 11 so that Democrats could better negotiate an agreement. Constant resolution, which went through the house On Tuesday, on a almost 217-213 party vote, he would hold the state open in the next six months, for the rest of the fiscal year ends on September 30.

The minority leader addressed the floor of the Senate after a meeting with a lunch with democratic senators on Wednesday, because some were worried that the exclusion would be more gloomy for their party, despite being widely against CR.
“There are currently no votes that could pass it,” said Senator Tim Kaine, D-VA, reporters after the meeting, according to NBC News. “Democrats had nothing to do with this proposal of the law. And we want to get the opportunity to get voting or two amendments. And so we insist.”
“Honestly, both outcomes are bad,” added Senator Raphael Warnock, D-GA., According to NBC. “The elections have consequences, but this is an extreme account. If it passes, it will harm many ordinary people on the field. If the government is excluded, it will hurt many ordinary people on the field, and that is the dilemma we found each other in.”
Warnock said that an additional problem with the law of law “is that I think that this project we see comes from the executive power, which is a grab that does not respect that the power of a congress bag is.”
Senator Mark Kelly, D-ARIZ, did not express whether he would support the bill in the upper chamber.

“I’m weighing badly every option,” Kelly said, acknowledging that supporting a six -month stop will set a bad precedent that Republicans can compose the funding of laws without democrats involved in the negotiating process.
Senator John Fetterman, D-Pa, said he would support a continuous decision to avoid the exclusion of the Government, while Senator Tina Smith, D -minn, said Democrats were united in not wanting to close the Government, “but they should vote for a short-term proposal of the law.
Republicans of Senata Coin ‘Schumer Shumdown’ on the eve of a critical vote of Trump’s spending law
President Donald Trump supports a six -month continuous resolution so the Republicans can focus their time in the second term to advance their agenda on the border and taxes.
The account, which increases military consumption as it reduces domestic programs that are not defense, requires 60 votes to avoid the Filibuster. Republicans have 53 Senate places.
Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky., He indicated that he would refuse continuous resolution, so the GOP needed at least eight Democrats to cross the passage to avoid the Filibuster.

Republicans claim that it is too late for the replacement of one -month law, because the house is already on recess until March 24.
The leader of the Senate majority John Thune, Rs.d., hinted at reporters that he was open to talking to democrats on the addition of potential amendments to CR.
Senator Ben Ray Lujan, Dn.m., extinguished the Republicans because they had held Democrats from the negotiating table so far.
“Republicans are in charge of the Senate, in charge of home, and have a white house. The American people know who is in charge,” he said. “It’s funny that Republicans try to blame a party that is a minority everywhere.”
Politico reported that several sources of white house say Schumer would allow enough centrist Democrats to join the Republicans in supporting continuous resolution, despite his vocal opposition to the Senate floor measures on Wednesday.
“They will swallow it 100 percent,” said one official of the White House allegedly. “They’re completely fucked up.”
