Secretary for Health and Human Services (HHS) Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is on the mission to make America healthy again, and he deals with the most fun state in the country – and her governor.
The Government of Western Virginia Patrick Morrisey, R and Kennedy held a joint event on Friday to announce a ban on certain food colors. The governor also took the opportunity to announce that his state had filed a renunciation that would be able to use the participants to ban additional nutritional assistance (Snap) to use the benefits to buy a soda.
Morrisey celebrated the move by saying that his state “puts” his diet “in the program of additional nutritional assistance.”
“I invite every governor to follow the lead in Western Virginia and surrender to the USDA to remove the Soda from Sand. in a statement in front of the event.

In addition, Kennedy suggested that the governor works public weighing every month and encouraging those from the audience who wanted Morrisey to participate to raise his hands. HHS chief also vowed to return to Western Virginia when Morrisey loses 30 pounds to celebrate public weighing.

Morrisey’s policies could make a big change for Western Virginia, which he currently has Larger rate of obesity than any other state. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), since 2023, Western Virginia was one of only three countries that had a prevalence of obesity of 40% or more. The prevalence of the obesity of Arkansas was 40%, Mississippi was 40.1%, while Western Virginia was 41.2%.
From 2022, The World Obesity Foundation The United States ranked as the 19th, most fun country in the world, and 43.29% of adults were obese. In the meantime, the American Samoa was ranked first with over 75% of adults suffering from obesity.
