Protesters gather in Turkiye as Imamoglu in prison | News protests

Describing the movement of the Government as “illegal”, X confirmed its commitment to defense of free speech through legal channels.

However, it is said that the US company has suspended several accounts, including some involved in the coordination of protests.

She took off a wide anger among citizens, many of whom supported Imamoglu in the last elections.

The police arranged rubber bullets and spraying of ferns during a confrontation with protesters in Istanbul, while the protesters in Ankara welcomed water cannons.

Despite the prohibition of protests in the three largest Turkiya cities and the strict warning of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan against “street terror”, the unrest expanded rapidly, reflecting deepening tension in the country.
