Boston officials hope East start time for this year’s iconic procession of St. Patrick in southern Boston will collect “Tomfoolery”.

Cox said that all alcoholic beverages in southern Boston will be closed at 4 pm, taverns and restaurants will stop admitting people at 6:00 pm and will stop serving alcohol at 7pm
Cox warned parents that children and teenagers should be accompanied or not attended at all.

Parade of St. Patrick’s Day in South Boston is one of the largest in the United States. Last year’s parade attracted about one million people.
Hooley said that the parade “did not appear so well last year”, and was especially encouraged by “young, drunken people in general and struggled with her.”
