Ohio Senator proposes Bill to stop broadcasting Buckeyes games on streaming web locations
Senator of Ohio State, Bill Demora, D-Cumbus, introduced a bill that would prohibit Ohio State and other universities in Ohi from broadcasting their games exclusively on streaming services.

“The greed of Big Ten and Multinational Streaming Corporation sets an unreasonable burden on Ohio small companies, which relies on their air game ability,” Demora said 2023 When he first announced his intention to introduce legislation.

“I refuse to pay all these streaming nets to watch Ohio State and other sports. … Streaming Television is not good for sports,” Demora said.
Buckeyes’ victory over Michigan State in September was also aired on Peacock, after Big Ten scored a seven -year contract with the company 2022. Basketball games were aired on Peacock and a Big Ten network platform.
The conference alignment has led to new contracts on rights throughout the athletics, and the Big Ten games were often presented on the NBC last season.
