Not Ms Dhoni! Shashank Singh appoints his favorite captain, chooses all the time IPL playing XI
The IPL 2025 season will soon start in just a few days, and the teams are in the last rounds of their preparations. In the midst of all these preparations, Punjab Kings Batter Shashank Singh has chosen his favorite IPL captain.
Surprisingly, he did not name MS Dhoni or Virat Kohli among his favorites, but instead decided to choose Rohit Sharma. Shashank Singh revealed that he always wanted to play under the leadership of Rohit and fears his captain.
Shashank also called his favorite IPL for all the time played by XI, which included only two foreign players. However, the team still looks unsurpassed and includes some of the best players of all time.

Shashank Singh chooses Rohita Sharme as his favorite IPL Captain
During Podcasta on the YouTube channel ‘Shubhankar Mishra’, Shashank Singh was asked to name his best IPL captain among Mrs. Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Shashank did not hesitate to take Rohit’s name and also revealed the reason for it.
“Rohit (Sharma) Bhai because I just said I wanted to play under him. Mahi (MS Dhoni) Bhai is obviously there, but I think he’ll retire after a while. Rohit Bhai could extend his IPL career a little more,” Shashank said.
All three players, Mrs. Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, are also the three most successful captains in IPL history. As a captain, Dhoni and Rohit have a percentage of a victory of 58.84 and 55.06.
In the meantime, Kohli is the third most successful captain in the IPL -a percentage of a 48.95 victory. Both Ms. Dhoni and Rohit Sharma led their teams Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians to five IPL titles, which is a record in itself.
Shashank Singh’s Favorite IPL playing XI
In the same podcast, Shashank Singh also chose his IPL XI, which includes some of the best players to play the league in the past. Shashank has selected Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma to open up hitting. Virat Kohli was also chosen as an undisputed number 3.
The middle order consists of Suresh Rain and Ab de Villiers, both were great during their prime minister. As expected, PBKS dough selected MS Dhoni and Hardik Pandya for the final roles on number 6 and 7.
Shashank chose the leg of Yuzvendra Chahal as a top spinner of his team and lonely. He chose Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malung as two premiere fast bowlers. Surprisingly, Sandeep Sharma also arrived on this list because Shashank marked him as a “underrated bowler”.

Shashank Singh kept Punjab Kings for Inr 5.50 Crown after he had a great season at IPL 2024 with a baton. Shashank appeared as one of the brilliant lights for his team last season in a disappointing campaign for them.
Punjab Kings will play his IPL 2025 opener against the Titan Gujarat on March 25 in Ahmedabad. The IPL 2025 will begin on March 22 with Kolkat champion defenders Knight Riders face Royal Challengers Bengalur at the tournament opener at Eden Gardens.
