Punjab Kings Player Shashank Singh has chosen the discarded Indian cricket Prithi Shaw as the one for the future, but only if it can improve on several things. Shashank also chose Allrounder NiSh Kumar Reddy as the next big thing in India.
Shashank opened up about things that did not go right for Prithi Shaw who held him outside the national team, despite so much talent in it. The Punjab Kings body thinks Shaw must return to its basics to recover the touch.
Shashank Singh speaks on Prithvi Shaw
As he spoke during the Podcast on the YouTube channel “Shubhankar Mishra”, Shashank Singh asked about the future of the Indian cricket. He called Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill, which was quite obvious by watching their appearances in the international cry.
However, Shashank made a surprise by appointing Prithi Shaw on this list and claimed that he could become a very big deal in the Indian crypt if he improved on certain things. He further advised Shaw to change a few things to get back.
“Yashasvi (Jaiswal) is certainly a big name. Shubman (Gill) is a very talented player. There is an underrated player on this list – Prithvi Shaw – if he returns to his basics, then no one was around. I knew him for 13 years (I said I said).
“There’s nothing wrong with him. He has a different point of view for things. He knows if it’s right or wrong, but from now on, if he can change his position for certain things, then I think no one is bigger than him,” he counts.
“These things include working ethics, fitness and some disciplines. 100 percent I am sure that he could do such things because he played a test cricky, but it may be if it modifies some things, it will become better,” PBKS Batter added.
Last International Machine Prithvi Shaw
Prithvi Shaw played an international match in July 2021 last time. Since then, he has run out of national teams for the formation and fitness questions. The talented dough broke down the stature and even fell from Mumbai’s wounded team.

“I think Nihish Kumar Reddy is that (the next big deal). His hitting is good and people have seen the potential in it. You can’t reach this level without a good performance. But they (selectors) saw that potential in it to win pressure games,” Shashank said.
“It’s a good pressure under pressure. I think Nihish has done well under pressure. Even if he shuts down in several games, he will get support because he has come well under pressure and properly supported it,” he claimed.
Nordy Kumar Reddy will be next seen in the IPL 2025 where he will represent SRH. He suffered the lateral progress that kept him outside the Indian Campaign of the Trophy 2025 champion. But was cleared by BCCI -the center of excellence after passing the Fitness test.
