After the third night in custody, the Mayor of Istanbul Ekrem Imamoglu should have appeared before the plaintiff on Saturday, just hours after hundreds of thousands hit the streets across Turkey in a huge Prkos exhibition. It was the third empty night that protesters gathered against the arrest of Imamoglu – the largest political rival of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, whose arrest early Wednesday caused the largest street protests of Turkey in more than a decade.
