Iranian Houthis in Yemen was named as a foreign terrorist organization, State Secretary Marco Rubio Announced on Tuesday, fulfilling one of President Donald Trump’s first promises.
Rubio said that now he “would not tolerate” any country that operates with “terrorist organizations like Houthis.”
“Today’s action taken by State Department shows the dedication of Trump’s administration to protect our interests of national security, the safety of the US people and the safety of the United States,” Rubio said in a statement. “Terrorist tags play a critical role in our fight against terrorism and are an effective way to reduce support for terrorist activities.”
