Lewis Hamilton hit the critics of “YApping” for “uneducated speculations” about his Ferrari debut fighting, after completing an exceptional turning point for winning the Chinese Sprint Grand Prix.
After fought tenth in Molbourne last weekend, at his first appearance Ferrari, Hamilton took Sprint Pole in China on Friday before creating a top urge to make it easier to win in Saturday’s 19th rounds competition.
Blockbuster crossing the sevenfold World Champion in Ferrari after 12 seasons with a Mercedes made him the focus of the season’s opening season in Australia, and many analysis after the display in which Hamilton was thinking after sealing a pollen chin Sprint as a “disaster”.
Speaking in his interview after the race in the international circle in Shanghai after his victory, Hamilton said, “I really feel a lot of people underestimated a steep climb.
“The amount of critics and the people I heard, breaking down in the way, obviously not understanding perhaps because they never had experience or were not aware of.
“It was great to come here and be more comfortable in the car because I didn’t feel great in Melbourne in the car. We were on it from 1 round 1 this weekend.”
Speaking at a press conference shortly after, Hamilton asked if the criticism he spoke about in the trail made it satisfactory to seek his first career victory.
He said, “I don’t talk to them or something. We just live in such a strange time in the world that people like to be negative about any opportunity, even in the smallest things, you like to be negative about it. It’s a difficult time we live in.
“I see certain individuals, and again, I don’t look really reading the news, but I see bits here and there. I see the people I have admired for years just talked from the turn. Obviously, some of them do not really publish uneducated speculation about what’s going on.
“A real lack of respect, it’s not easy to move to a new team that works completely differently, a completely different car characteristic. You don’t just jump and that’s good.”
Before the season, Hamilton spoke about his admiration for the speed that former Ferrari Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel drivers settled in the Italian team, and once again compared their journey with those of their former world champions.
He added, “It’s true if you look at the seb, you look at Fernando, they did a great job when they joined the team at their early stages.
“But to build long -term success with a team takes time to build and that’s what I’m trying to do. I don’t try to jump or in advance. I just took the time to build with this great team. So many potential on this team has so many potential.
“In order to be in the second race and have that experience, this is a song where I have been going well for many years, so you have to take it a little.
“But in general, I felt really good in the car, and how I learns more where the car likes to be set for a song like this, for example, when I come to another song, the site, the last, I think I have a little better understanding where to put it.”
‘We cannot progress ourselves’
The Hamilton sprint triumph in Shanghai was surprisingly not only in the light of his debut performance, but also because McLaren seemed comfortable in front of his rivals.
Lando Norris won in Melbourne, and McLaren would probably have had two or two had it not been for Oscar Piastra to spin in the rain.
The couple were clear favorites for sprint pole, but Piastra was third and Norris sixth. The Australian managed to pass Max Verstappen to second place in Sprint, but Norris could save the eighth after losing three places in the initial round.
Asked after the race if the result was a belief that he and Ferrari could compete with McLaren for silver accessories this season, Hamilton preached caution.
He said: “We just came from the race where we finished 10th. So there are so many factors that really need to be considered.
“We simply cannot progress from ourselves from that result we just had.
“The car was feeling well today, and yes, he was able to finish in front of McLaren and Red Bull. But that doesn’t necessarily mean … You know, look at qualifications, very, very close.
“So not to make mistakes will be key. But I think it seems we are there or there this weekend, which is really good.
“I hope that will continue. But again, from track to track, we will have to wait and see. We saw last week we didn’t have it.
“I hope that from last week we will already be a lot of learning that we have already signed up for this week, and the car was in a much better place, so I hope we can keep it there. And if we can, yes, that makes me happy.”
