Cross – an unused member of the tour of the tour due to injury – believes that the defeat method was worse than predicted, admitting that the team did not impress at any time during the multi -forms series.
“There were unprecedented as we did there badly,” Cross told reporters on Thursday. “I don’t think no one predicted that the ashes turned out the way he did, and obviously was a great disappointment that came with it.
“But I don’t think as a group of players now we don’t know what will come from this review, but I think it motivates you to be a better group of players and a better version of yourself without sounding too much cliché.
“We did not go there and play a good cricket for any part of that tour, so we cannot move away from that saying that we want to ‘inspire and have fun’ [the team mantra] When we don’t do our job as we should have done. “
Clare Connor – Crown Director in England – she said earlier that there would be a “honest review” in the way she would be renewed from historical loss, with questionnaires about the future of Chief Coach Jon Lewis and the leadership team.
“I believe that as a team we really do a lot of things, but there are areas that we know we have to turn to the cricket stop from a cultural standpoint,” Cross added.
“I do not know what will come from this review, but I hope it will be things that will be resolved and it will take the way that the next generation wants to play for England.
“I feel that we may have lost several fans in the last few months, which is really sad from our point of view. We, as a cricket, know how bad it was – we will not try that sugar. But I wish people fell in love with the English crown.”
