Arsenal midfielder Jorginho revealed that he was “curious” about the idea of playing club football home in Brazil, in the midst of the constant interest of Rio de Janeiro Giants Flamengo.
After missing Jorginho recently in winter transfer The window, Flamengo is still hoping to hire a veterans in early June to enhance his band in front of the FIFA Club World Cup in 32 teams.
Jorginho was born and grew up in Brazil, moved to Italy at the age of 16 and gained citizenship that allowed him to represent Italy at international level. This means that he did not actually play football in Brazil from the level of young people and the chances of changing.
“I don’t believe I missed. But I was curious today, that I know how it is [to play in Brazil]to experience it, “said the 33-year-old ESPN BRASIL.
“But because of its growth, playing professionally was not a problem. It helped me when I was a kid, because of my growth. It’s different in Brazil. I played barefoot on the street, on the beach. I think it helped me a lot in terms of growing up in contact with the ball.”
Flamengo Sport Director Jose Boto has already confirmed to a Brazilian journalist Venus Casagrande that “the ball in his judgment” with respect to Jorginh’s suggested move.
“If all is well, they will play in the World Cup for Flamengo. The league ends in May, players change clubs and there is an agreement between the clubs to let the athletes end up as soon as the season is over,” Boto said.
The Brazilian out -of -season broadcast remained open until the end of February, but FIFA also approved a temporary short additional window in the first ten days of June for clubs that participated in the new tournament. Things move there on June 14 to July 13.
The only downside to Jorginha is that the departure of Arsenal would require his contract at the end of June to require him to give up the bonus of faithfulness to which he would otherwise be entitled.
