IPL 2025: “You may not find yourself in any franchise”
Former bowling coach Sunrizers Hyderabad (SRH) Dale Steyn made a huge statement of the fall of Umbra Malik on the eve of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Steyn stated that Malik should not focus on his pace, adding that the young Pacer must be effective in controlling and taking over Wickkets.
Steyn collaborated with the dead Malik during his tenure with Sunrizers Hyderabad at IPL 2022 and 2023. Malik took 22 Wickets in 14 games during 2022. The fast-handed-up-hand bowler impressed with his raw pace and WICKET takeover skills, even picking up a speed of 156.9 km / h during the tournament.

SMRRA Malik earned a place in the Indian national team after its impressive appearances in IPL 2022 Jammu and Kashmir Fast Bowler played 18 international matches (10 ZAI -A 8 T20I), taking 24 Wickkeke. However, he was not in the scheme of things since 2023. Because of his high economical rate.
Malik managed only five Wickets in eight games in IPL 2023 in a disappointing economy of 10.85. His shape got worse in IPL 2024, where he played only one Sunrizers Hyderabad match, acknowledging 15 rides in one. The franchise based in Hyderabad did not keep it for the IPL 2025 season.
Fast bowlers are almost the same – Dale Steyn
In interacting with ESPNCICINFO, Dale Steyn expressed concern that Umbiliah fades from the reflector. He said Malik should focus on improving his control and ability to take over WICKET.
“Just as Ferrari has six gears, you don’t have to use all six gears. Ferrari can still work in the first, second and third and fast bowlers are almost the same. They need to know when to use their gears,” Steyn said.
Won’t even do you well – Dale Steyn
Dale Steyn said Umran Malik focused too much on his reputation of Speedter, who eventually acted against him. Steyn warned that the failure of the effective control of Tempo could result in giving up on the team, adding that speed control provides long-term success.
“I think sometimes it happens that some guys get into the game and catch them with what is happening all around them. 60,000 people who chanted and screamed and feel like:” I have to do my best and I have to bowl 160 km / h, which is great. But if you are going against the game plan, you still go to go to go for 60 years.
“A few games later, you might find yourself outside the team and a season later, you may not be in any franchise. So you really have to use that speed and ensure that you use it well.”
The 25 -year -old Pacer acquired the Knight Riders (KKR) champion defenders at the IPL 2025 auction. However, it is said that he is still recovering from hip injury and has not yet joined KKRK.
