Buttler, which has been an integral part of RR since 2018, was not among the six retained players because the team restructured its squad. Later cracked it Gujarat Titans (GT) on a mega auction. During his seven-year stay with RR, Buttler established himself as one of the greatest franchise players, gathering 3055 running in 83 games on an average of 41.84 and a glittering rate of 147.79 strike. His contributions included a record season of 863 running in IPL 2022, where he unanimously launched RR to the finals. In addition to his heroes on the field, Buttler played a leading role, served as a vice president and led the younger players, including Samson himself. After the release, the Gujarat picked up buttler for INR 9 crore.

Samson, who shared countless partnerships with Buttler, admitted that ways of separation with English dough were far from light. Speaking Jiohotstarreflected on their close relationship and the influence that the butt had on his journey
“IPL is not just about playing at the highest level or leading a team – it also helps you create deep friendships. Jos Buttler is one of my closest friends. We played together for seven years, and our partnership was so long that we developed an incredible understanding. He was like an older brother. Whenever I doubted, I would turn to him. and played a key role in shaping my leadership, ” Samson said.

Even after Bittler’s departure, Samson was hard to move on. Found that during the Indian series against EnglandThe emotions of the loss of Buttler from the Order of Rajastha were still lingering.
“During the English series, I told him for dinner to still struggle to reconcile with that. If I could change one thing about the IPL, that would be a rule that forces teams to release players every three years. Although he has his advantage, on a personal level he breaks ties and bonds built over the years. He wasn’t just a teammate – he was a family. What else can I say?” Samson concluded.
Samson’s cordial words reflect not only a professional loss of a key player, but also a deep personal relationship he shared with Buttler, making the decision even harder to accept.
While the Bittler’s edition surprised many, RR management had to bring a strategic choice given the dynamics and financial limitations of the Detachment. Deciding to keep Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanja Samson, Riyan Parag, Ravicharndran Ashwin, Trent Boult and Shimron HetmyerThe franchise focused on the younger core with a mixture of experience. In addition, the IPL 2024 buttler pattern caused concern. He had an inconsistent campaign, scoring 398 runs in 13 games at a rate of 140.56 strike, far from the best best. The RR’s decision to release it was probably influenced by the flexibility of the salary, allowing them to target fresh talents on auction.
